Complete Genome Sequence of Chryseobacterium mulctrae KACC 21234T: A Potential Proteolytic and Lipolytic Bacteria Isolated from Bovine Raw Milk

Chryseobacterium mulctrae KACC 21234T is a novel species isolated from raw bovine milk. Psychrotrophic bacteria are considered contaminants and hypothesized to originate the environment. In this investigation, C. genome was determined be 4,868,651 bp long assembled into four contigs with G+C ratio of 33.8%. silico genomic analyses revealed presence genes encoding proteases (endopeptidase Clp, oligopeptidase b, carboxypeptidase) lipases (phospholipase A(2), phospholipase C, acylglycerol lipase) that can catalyze degradation proteins lipids in milk, causing its quality deteriorate. Additionally, antimicrobial resistance putative bacteriocin were detected, potentially intensifying pathogenicity strain. The evidence presented highlights need for improved screening protocols minimize potential contamination milk by proteolytic lipolytic psychrotrophic bacteria.
